BackTeacher of Design Technology

Required for September 2025 (an Easter 2025 start will be considered), a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach Design and Technology within a large and well-resourced Design & Technology Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a subject specialist who is newly qualified or a more experienced teacher able to inspire and teach DT to pupils of all abilities within a large and well-resourced Design & Technology Department.
Situated in a recently built area of the school, the department enjoys outstanding facilities. The subject is respected and enjoyed by students and consequently there is excellent take-up for GCSE. The team comprises 3 full-time teachers, a technician, and a TA. Accommodation for the subject is in 3 teaching rooms, a recently upgraded IT suite with laser cutter and CAMM 1 machine, staff workroom, break-out area and 2 preparation rooms.
Our KS3 curriculum is delivered in a dedicated one hour timetabled slot every week and includes graphics, CAD/CAM, resistant materials and electronics leading onto AQA GCSE Design Technology. The department is committed to providing a forward thinking, exciting and modern approach to the subject so the right candidate will possess the energy, enthusiasm and desire to inspire a love of DT. You will be responsible for delivering DT lessons in line with relevant curriculum requirements, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained, whilst collaborating with colleagues to sustain and maximise student progress.
